Event details
After the success of the previous edition, the advanced acting course “THE INTEGRATED ACTOR” by Civil Words returns to the ELF Teatro, directed by the director Nicholas RappThis training program pushes the art of acting beyond the confines of technique, into the realm of impulse. The Integrated Actor combines disciplined text analysis with rigorous physical and vocal training, creating an environment where experienced actors can push creative boundaries and step outside their own heads. As always, the course will begin with body and movement work, followed by scenes from the nominated playwright of the year (Tennessee Williams). The course encourages a personal and in-depth exploration of characters and texts, ensuring that each performance is a unique, living work of art.
This isn't just an "acting course," but:
• Vocal training, using exercises from the Linklater system
• Physical training, using exercises from the Grotowski method and Viewpoints
• Training in working with the text, learning to act and apply script analysis
• A space for experimentation and exploration, where physical and vocal training can be applied to go beyond the limits of the Stanislavskian model
• An opportunity to engage with feedback from a respected professional in the field
• Practice your English in a professional acting context
• Obtain video material for your showreel
Nicholas Rapp is a theater artist specializing in the reinterpretation of classical texts. Having studied with Lee Breuer and Gabor Tompa, Nicholas developed an interest in formal experimentation.
