Fiori di Ciliegio – Le storie dei Giusti

It is a civic theater performance based on the people honored in the Garden of the Righteous and tells the stories of some of them. In particular, Armin T. Wegner, Father Pino Puglisi, Father Mussie Zerai, and Meena Keshwar Kamal of RAWA. The latter is not yet officially remembered among the Righteous, but we believe she deserves full recognition for her efforts and achievements in women's emancipation under the Taliban regime. Therefore, we share her story with the other Righteous to propose her recognition in the Garden.

The show, which lasts about 60 minutes, tackles four different, seemingly unrelated themes, distant in time and space, yet there is at least one aspect they have in common: they are timely.

Genocide and ethnic cleansing, mafias, human trafficking, the abuses and atrocities of totalitarian regimes are a reality we continue to live with today. We are therefore called to acknowledge a violent and unjust reality, yet distant, and as such easily set aside to make room for the burdens of our daily lives. Being privileged is certainly not a fault; rather, it is a responsibility that can lead to the desire to help and share our blessings with the world. Even the concept of justice varies across cultures, although human rights are by definition universal, so in order not to
Amidst indifference and selfishness, the experiences of these people are necessary because they teach us precious qualities: one is responsibility, the other is courage. With their very lives, the Righteous bear witness to what we can all do, even on a small scale, to change things; they serve as a moral compass for us as we navigate today's complex and interconnected world.

GOALS
1. Tell the story of these people contextualized by the reasons why they are
honored at the Garden.
2. Engage people and raise awareness, educating them about civil courage.
3. Invite people to reflect on what each of us can do in our own small way to follow
the example of the Righteous and improve society.

SPECIFICATIONS
