CHARACTER PROFILES:

Eugenia – The fiery, sharp-tongued protagonist, torn between love and pride. Brilliant, passionate, and endlessly dramatic, she always has the last word... even if it costs her happiness.
Fulgenzio – Eugenia's devoted and patient suitor. A good man with a decidedly excessive amount of patience... but even he has his limits.
Flamminia – Eugenia's pragmatic and forthright sister. A widow with a sharp mind and an even sharper tongue, she always knows what's best—and isn't afraid to say it. The voice of reason (almost always).
Fabrizio – The eccentric and self-righteous uncle who squanders money on art and trivialities while his house falls apart. A legend… at least in his mind.
Roberto – The charming stranger who attracts attention and creates a stir. A man of the world and a smooth talker… who could be the perfect match.
Succianespole – An impassive servant who passes through the chaos with detachment and slowness, saying the bare minimum and never getting involved.
Lisetta – The housekeeper, smart, big-hearted, and talented at stirring up trouble. She knows everything before anyone else.
Clorinda - A reserved and melancholic woman, entrusted to the care of her brother-in-law after Merit's departure. Diligent and gracious, but distant.
